I watched Superman, A Mean Dog with a Cape, a Weird Baby, and a Squiggle Man for the 3rd time today.
Incredible movie. The emotional beats still hit after repeat viewings. Especially the Jorhanpur chanting scene. And I notice new things every time. I have my nitpicks, but they're few in number.
Just watched it with a friend over discord last night. They don’t really like super hero movies but liked this one since it isn’t your “typical superhero movie” (quote from them). Which is extremely sad for the state of super hero movies when just a good guy doing good things is atypical.
Glad you liked it! I really liked it too. It was a long time since the last time a superhero movie had me feel so good after it ended. That movie joined my pantheon of favourite DC films alongside Burton’s Batman and Donner’s Superman.
