And those states could keep federal taxes for their state. Keep the percentage that would go towards fema in their state. So that means less federal taxes to be sent.
In the U.S people and businesses etc send fed taxes to the state first ? Or do they pay fed taxes directly to the feds? Probably directly .

Not sure. It’s deducted as federal taxes on our pay check. State taxes are listed separate. So probably goes direct. I’m sure the state governor can fix it so less of a percentage goes to the feds. If the GOP want to make up rules, so can the Dems.
