I paid 15 bucks AUD more than 10 years ago and I got Hollow Knight and Silksong out of it. Pretty decent investment.
(I've backed some garbage on kickstarter, but also got in on the ground floor with some truly excellent games (FTL; but see also the great, underappreciated Valdis Story))
it's so cool they're still honouring that given the scope creep of Silksong itself!
I guess when your first game was a huge success and you have comparatively few backers it's not complete economic self-sabotage but yes I agree people couldn't really complain if they'd decided to shift to a 10 buck discount coupon or something instead of The Whole Game.
