Oklahoma did the same kind of thing with medical marijuana. When it passed, the Republican legislators were shocked. The Republican governor tried all sorts of devious ways to essentially gut the referendum. Took a lawsuit against the state leaders to force them to follow the will of the voters.
I’m truly surprised that marijuana was legalized in this state tbh. I’m so angry, and so very tired.

I get it. “Leave it to the states!” Then when the voters of the state make their will known at the ballot box, the party politicians try to overturn it.
