LLOYDMINSTER — Loud cheers for mass deportations and Alberta separation were the peaks of an otherwise tame and quiet town hall for Premier Danielle Smith's Alberta Next panel in Lloydminster.
I wonder if the audience participants are vetted before entering. Surely there must be some reasonable people in Lloydminster who wanted to have a say against these separatist notions. As to youth unemployment, they should be asking why employers prefer immigrant workers. Maybe they work harder.

The lady threatening to leave Canada due to immigration seems like a very serious thinker.
Have the vote. But with a caveat - not anonymous. If the vote is to leave, see ya. If the vote is to remain, those who voted otherwise MUST leave. Problem solved. Put up or shut up.

I’m profoundly sad by the hate unleashed by these « Christians ». They love what Trump is doing. They are incredibly stupid and selfish and cruel. I do wish we could fast track the departure of those who seek to be part of the US under trump. They are dangerous to Canada if they remain here.
CBC posted a modified version of the story, redacting several of the vile quotes included in the original story. For the life of me, I can’t understand why. The quotes are repugnant, and the story shouldn’t be sanitized.

When the meetings are framed around "ways to shield the province from federal overreach" they know they'll get the audience they want.
