Worst part is, I get why they'd kinda have to.

If your opposition has the entire national government, why the hell would you not toss the entire kitchen sink, no, the entire bathroom at the opposition in hopes of getting some peices of the government powers back?

Inaction would be suicide.

  1. It's not even that the GOP currently has everything, it's explicitly a response to the GOP trying rig things so that they don't lose their trifecta. If Texas hadn't tried to rig their maps in the middle of the decade Dems wouldn't have needed to respond like they are.
