Mike Johnson says House Republicans “did some of the best work of their careers” when they stayed home for the duration of the government shutdown.

Word from DOGE was working from home was not ideal, did that change?
-
by all means, then, send them home permanently.
-
If by "some of their best work" he means not actively (though certainly passively) inflicting corrosive, unconstitutional damage on our democracy, then sure?
-
Well, he's not wrong there.
-
To be fair. It probably was their best work. 😏
-
Masterbating doesn’t count!
-
He's not lying. When they can't make trouble, it's time saved for all of us.
-
If you think about it...he may just be right.
-
I would like to agree, but for the fact that so many people were actively and physically harmed by hunger, playing bill roulette and getting even further behind while these assholes continue to live in mansions and enjoy taxpayer funded healthcare.
-
In fairness, when Republicans are in Washington DC, they are busy trying to deprive people of Health Care and the ability to get food for their families. So it's entirely possible that when they didn't have their hands on the levers of power, they did in fact do some of their best work.
-
Considering that when they're in session they generally do the worst stuff they can think of, this actually seems right.
-
LOL Let’s see some documentation.
-
Four worthless and useless CUNTS.
-
If Mike Johnson is speaking, he is lying, profusely.
-
Sounds like they should be sent home permanently. Vote them out!
-
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I agree. Doing nothing prevented them from destroying more safety net programs
-
Republicans took a vacation and did nothing for the American people. They own every bit of the longest shutdown in our nation.
-
Without naming Thomas Massie or MTG, Johnson says today’s House vote on a bill to force DOJ to release the Epstein files is “a political exercise for Democrats, and a few others, sadly.”
-
There is no reality where that is remotely true.
-
Doing nothing was their best work? Hmm.
-
It may be true. 😂
-
happy to let them continue staying home
-
Some day the American public will be debating whether breathing 😮💨 is good for the country 🤦♂️
The level of acceptance of stupidity and incompetence in the USA is through the roof. Shameless as well
-
Yeah I bet they ate a lot of meals at lobbyists houses, made the corruption a lot more efficient.
-
The price of eggs just went up again because they were all locally bought to throw at members of the Do Nothing Caucus' houses.
-
These words you are saying…they may not mean what you think they mean.
-
It’s gotta be kidding, it would be nice to get a written report of every accomplishment made when they were home on paid leave. He is such a propaganda mouthpiece.
-
I cannot say I disagree with him lol
-
Lounging around watching TV? Vacations? Smh
-
No one believes the trash that comes out of his mouth
-
There's a couple of ways of interpreting that.
-
Well, in fairness, any time the House Republicans do nothing they are indeed doing the best work of their careers.
-
If he means they weren't actively fucking up the government then yes
-
Given how much they suck at doing their actual jobs, I'm wondering if this is the rare instance of Johnson telling the truth about something
-
So, now they are OK with work from home? I never thought stupid would run so rampant.
-
They certainly know how to hold the line better than Cuck Schumer and his band of two faced back stabbers
-
Truer words…
-
Bookmark this clip for when he’s up for re-election.
-
I doubt it, I didn't see a single news article about any of them digging their own graves.
-
I suppose they took inspiration from Ted Cruz?
-
Bull

Whatever happened to smiting?

He’s not entirely wrong. They weren’t in Washington fucking things up even more.
-
I mean, he's not wrong...
-
sure. they went on picnics, got medical tests their insurance pays for but urs doesn't, played pickle ball, swanned around with their rich friends, slept, shopped, thought up new lies to foist on the American public.
same thing they do when they are in session

He can "go on", as he stops trying to come up with excuses for not releasing the files. The Nahs will need something to stand on as they jettison their careers.
