They didn't make a statement - a statement couldn't have been buried. They might have looked after the trans woman well in the short term but in the medium to long term it's done her, and all the rest of us, more harm
Statements get buried ALL the time. What are you talking about?
Like corrections are FAMOUSLY under reported and get lost in the fervor caused by the original statement.
