Texas legislators get paid $600 per month, plus per diems when the body is in session.
Meaning, all Texas legislators have other employment, are independently wealthy, or have a spouse who earns a good income. They'll survive.
It's bullshit, but it's not like they can withhold the payments forever

IDK about Texas but in Canada, government cheques don't expire or get stale-dated. Dem reps should let them accumulate and collect them when the nonsense is resolved.
