Solution … job-swap … the Local Democracy reporter is given a 12 month attachment to BBC Local Radio … BBC Nottingham then use a member of their existing staff to sit in on Nottinghamshire Council meetings and report the goings on there.

A political party deciding its politicians won’t engage with certain media is one thing, but instructing Council officers to participate in party political machinations is quite another. Trades Unions should be taking advice about whether any valid decision has been made that binds their members.
Following the Trump approach to the media - no outlet, no matter how friendly, is sufficiently cowed.
And I'll bet the Reach pricks still give him an easy ride.

Seems like a really good way to ensure lots of negative coverage – local newspapers love to have any excuse to slate the council and will happily make some up if they don't present themselves in the normal course of events. Notts Live is about to become the most anti-Reform paper in the country!
