I hope people realize how absolutely fucked this situation is.
This isn’t normal. People are resigning all over the place because the government is mishandling our data, ruining our public health services, and generally making Americans less safe.
The bulk of Americans can't be bothered to pay attention to a single fucking thing outside of their daily life. This is why I laugh in the face of anyone who thinks we're headed for civil war. We are the laziest, dumbest, most uninformed people on the planet and we appear to like it that way.

The pandemic laid this all bare in a way nothing before ever has. Trump made a shitshow mess of the pandemic & tanked the economy for 3 years. Biden spent his entire presidency cleaning it up & people blamed him for it because they can't handle a thought deeper than "price bad, leader's fault".
