At 8:00 a.m., we at the National Redistricting Foundation, with ELG sued Texas.
As everything moves at light speed, let this serve as a reminder that racial gerrymandering is illegal.

Are you going to contest it on the basis of it being racist? As I understand it, partisan gerrymandering isn't illegal (for some reason.) I'm curious about who is considered to have standing and what laws were broken.

The Supreme Court said it was illegal, but they have been emboldened over the last ten years.
But would SCOTUS ever find that Republican gerrymandering is racial? Color me skeptical. Still, I suppose one can’t give up in advance.
