not what happened to greenpoint. They got the luxury apartments plus my 2100 non lux 2 bed went to 4500 and that was a year ago. Wouldnt be surprised if it was 5k now
absolutely an insufficient construction problem, not a "built luxury apartments" problem. The New York Metro barely permits more new housing than Minneapolis, for example. The presence of "luxury" units didn't make rent go up, not building enough new "luxury" units made rent go up
