lol she ran a centrist campaign where donors, consultants and pundits attacked the left and wouldn't push back on biden's unpopular israel policies (us also much more right-wing than a lot of the world so our "left" party is centrist in comparison)
Biden’s Israel policies basically didn’t matter; most self-ID progressive/“very liberal”/left voters voted Harris; Harris improved on Biden vote except ppl who didn’t vote for Biden but against Trump. The left punching from centrists is wrong but so is left narrative of too centrist campaign.

Harris fell into trap that’s well studied in other contexts: Audiences see attacking as winning & defense as losing, & evaluate positions based on social proximity. Pretending otherwise is liberal fantasy of Discourse when that’s not what actually moves voters.
