at its core, the reason I care about Newsom specifically is that it's so obviously astroturf, and if people can't clock this, they'll be fooled elsewhere. that's the real problem.

Yes. He's an establishment candidate with specifically selected wedge issues inserted into his politics so he can be a champion of the libs while still being divisive for the left. Ensuring the people keep fighting amongst ourselves so we're not united against the parasite class.

there is no organic push for Gavin Newsom. there is marketing and there are marks.
