?? for the group - how do you promote and share a draft city ordinance while incorporating good edit suggestions along the way? A read-only gdoc and an explainer "this paragraph is to..." is my only idea now.

When they ask for your phone, are you required to give it?
-
Does any of this count if they are wearing masks and refuse to identity themselves or their authority? What if they say you donโt have any rights? If they donโt care?

Just me, this is very poorly written
eg, "I want a lawyer, dawg"
right ?

What if I am stopped by someone claiming to be the police but refuses to provide proof?
-
That latter statement line is chilling - dear US people, you have my deepest sympathy. It must be horrendous just now.
-
But they arenโt always law enforcement- women are getting kidnapped by fakes who wonโt give proof and are being SAโed- do I just go with some weirdo in a vest?

If your phone has Face ID or biometrics, deactivate it. Cops can use your face or fingerprint to unlock your phone without your consent but they need a search warrant to get your PIN.
-
And when they tackle you to the ground?
-
There should be classes that take people through scenarios and what they should do and say.
-
I'd like to know in what instances you are required to provide your name and address.

Thats IF the police are willing to abide by the laws as "law enforcement." No telling these days. They could just immediately detain you without hesitation and you lose all rights.

Any masked people coming after a person in the U.S. should be shot first and questions asked laterโฆ No Federal employee should ever be involved in detaining people in the U.S. while masked and using extreme force against non-violent people for any reason! FU you losers that do this.

How heartbreaking that this is the advice given to Americans in 2025 so theyโre not beaten or killed by their own police force.
