Flagrant ongoing racism is a hell of a drug. No amount of class solidarity (see the 50s)...outside attack (see any of the wars) or economic anxiety (see 2008) changes it. Until the culture of YT-ness in America is reckoned with, this will be our existence.

Precisely. People who say "A class war is the only one we should be fighting!" don't get it.
I notice they are almost always white males, so there's that.
