Agreed. We will all do a lot better if we can step back and say “hey, this person doesn’t give me 100% of what I want, but he/she cares about democracy and gives me like 75% of what I want”. We can always hammer and lobby for the remaining 25%, as all engaged citizens should - all the time.
It's almost like we should never rely on 1 person for everything!
Humans are communal. Too many leftists want perfection and purity. That fails before it even begins. We need to elevate many diverse leaders into roles they are suited for instead of expecting a unicorn. Gavin is good for this role.
