Bashir feels incredibly mismatched with anyone but his adoring husband Garak and I will die on this hill.
Even the actors agree Garak and Bashir were a fantastic match.
I dont know....i know this is a great example of a healthy platonic friendship between men...but if they went that way it wouldnt be a total mismatch
