We add RE, we don't reduce FFs. Solar is booming but we break new fossil fuel records every year. Why? Because we increase energy demand (due to new EVs & AI) instead of reducing it. And it is NOT cheaper to build new solar than to use an existing coal plant (more).
I do wish there were better stock photos available to show case what a pollinator or prairie solar development looks like- rather than panels surrounded by disturbed dirt. Maybe that would help even a little with interest in solar??
Question: tons of people honestly believe that electric cars produce JUST as much greenhouse gas as internal combustion engines. What resources do you know of to refute this claim?

The cost of solar and wind are only going to continue to drop as the technology becomes more widespread and takes advantage of economies of scale. Also, there's no risk of us running out of economically viable solar and wind power, like there is with fossil fuels.
It's all about a vindictive, hateful individual spreading lies about climate change.
With the relatively high gas prices in Europe the total cost of solar and wind is lower than the fuel cost of gas power plants.
If done right it can also be further subsidized by using solar panels as shade for sensitive crops, especially with extreme heat becoming an issue.
Or they can reduce heat islands by covering parking lots and large roofs… like retailers.
