the only good thing about genAI is that it got me to really love seeing bad art, because I know a person put in time and effort, made themselves vulnerable by showing it to others, and is trying to improve. I value that more than anything now

I've always admired people who showed off their early work! I never shared my earliest art online because I was so embarrassed by it... I knew being bad was the first step to being good, but that didn't mean I had to be proud of it... We need those brave artists now more than ever!

Honestly that was the best part of the shitty frieren image. I love it so much because it's a person who honestly tried and I've been there too in my drawing career. Very relatable to be like "how tf do I draw this" and it looks like shit 😂😂
