Someone needs to hear this: The government was created to serve the people; not to operate like a business profiting from us……. It’s meant to work for us, not exploit us. Read that again until it sinks in.

  2. The government is to protect the citizenry from corporate greed!

BTW, you know how to tell that corporations aren't "people'? Because there's no heartbeat. You could abort a corporation and still go to HEAVEN!!

  3. Remember that it was the dotard Reagan who popularized the trope “Government should be run like a business.” If there’s a hell, he should burn in it.

  4. Years ago, my director got escort, by two security officers, out of his office. No warning, just took his jacket and out the door. He was trying to run our government office like a business. It's sad, now our current government is doing business and It's hurting everyone.

  5. The sad part is that what he's doing is what your government has been doing behind closed doors the entire time.

  7. 🎯 If a government is run like a business, then all entities that don't produce a profit would be sold off or eliminated. This includes the military.

"Not everything that is profitable is of social value and not everything of social value is profitable."

  8. But making a profit has been the whole point with the military industrial complex. We were warned way back when Eisenhower was around.

  9. If that were true, then the constitution would have some sort of clause saying that the purpose of government was to provide for the people...oh wait. It does. Never mind.

  12. Going to have to disagree with just little bit having studied the founding fathers the government was really set up to serve all the people. Despite the words in the Declaration of Independence and work of some people to make it happen. Founded on the needs of the few, not the many. IMHO

  13. Throughout history, rulers have taken advantage of the people they ruled. Decline of monarchies did not change the dynamic of people who want to dominate underlings. In our country, executives (for- and non-profit) and government leaders carry on in that tradition.

  14. I keep trying to point out that not everything profitable has social value just like not everything w/social value is profitable. Social value has more value than making yourself into a voluntary profit center to be milked of every asset to feed private interests who seek PROFIT over GOOD of SOCIETY

  15. Apparently, 70+ million ignorant, brainwashed Americans who voted for Trump, and still support him and his criminal regime, don't agree with us. Is it Stockholm Syndrome or Cult Syndrome, or do we really have that many disgraceful morons within the US population?
