Honestly surprised we're not seeing more incidents like this -- both the masked men impersonating cops and the intended victim shooting masked men.

  1. Especially in states with stand your ground laws. My husband and I were just talking about this.

  2. If any masked individuals with bulletproof vests bust into my house, I'm assuming they're criminals impersonating police. You can buy shirts that say POLICE ICE on the internet. Hell, you can easily make them yourself.

  3. Reading these comments I’m amazed that so many couldn’t be bothered to read the article. Pretty sad.

  4. The guy who shot the mn state re, Hortman, had a car that passed for a police car. Impersonated an officer. Shot her and her husband. He is a Christian nationalist.

  5. Sorry but as a proud liberal #2A supporter, if you try to break into my property without providing me a valid warrant signed by a judge in accordance with the Fourth Amendment, I will exercise my Second Amendment right to end your life!

  6. I think that is the main reason ICE has been kidnapping people off the streets. At some point, they are going to accost the wrong person in a “stand your ground” state.

  7. If masked armed individuals come toward me, I am going to assume they mean harm and take appropriate measures to defend myself. I also am surprised this hasn’t happened more.

  8. Anyone , unidentified, acting like a fake cop that is near our front door, will need a coroner. These masked thugs roaming our cities need to either take the masks off, or face the same likelihood that a homeowner will end it. We're facing tyranny and the 2nd Amendment is there for a reason.

  9. I don't think any masked person acting like law enforcement should complain if people act in self defense. I have no remorse for ICE people dead on the "job" as they are traitors violating the Constitution.

  10. And of course the eventual criminal charges for a person defending themselves against unidentified masked men assaulting them who turn out to actually be some form of "law enforcement"

  11. Agree. All of the anger will produce a shooting of ICE agents and then Trump will take the next step. Why is the anti-Trump movement so ineffective? Are we just going to let this happen? What is the plan? Wait till the midterms? If he possibly can he’ll rig the midterms, no? What do you think?

  12. surprised this took so long before it happened. No badges, no name tags and balaclavas? Could be anyone. All this stuff is readily available.

  13. I read where the homeowner said, "Identify or die." That would also be my response. I live in a Castle Doctrine state. Now, the question is since these "officers" are told not to identify then where does that lead us? Listen, up his base in red states will not comply with this shit. They will shoot

  14. That’s how you deal with masked men that claim to be police.

It’s customary in Houston, for the homeowner, upon hearing the intruder, to pull out the guns and exclaim “let the games begin!”

  15. Yep. I'm surprised we haven't heard about rapists doing the same thing to abduct women off the street. Considering how scared immigrants are, that might have happened already, but the family is scared to make a missing person report to police.

    2
  16. I wonder if that is why they are going to people's jobs and places like home Depot to kidnap people. I also think the are targeting law abiding immigrants who are less likely to be armed

  17. “HPD Detective Kyle Stringer; noted that real officers do not wear ski masks.”

  18. Genuinely, what are we supposed to do? I doubt I'm the only one to wonder how I'm supposed to react if an unmarked car with masked men pulls me over? I can't really be expected to stop for that, can I?

    6
  19. At least part of the reason the latter isn't happening as much is because many of who they target have a hard time exercising their 2A rights, I suspect

    0
  20. Well If they are police they need to act like police. We pay them to be uniformed with marked cars and the proper ID. If the DOJ the felon and his Hitler wanna be Miller want immigrants to have ID, we demand that the police, ICE or whoever his military puppets are have the proper ID as well!

  21. It’s because the criminales know what time it is. People are mad. People are loosing fear cus suffering is worse than fear. Most smart criminals don’t want to mess with that. The only criminals are in the white house. And their she olds areDT, the rich & white supremest but we know them well.

  22. Remember ! Drag the bodies into the house before calling the police! Then they will accept it was self defense. choose love

  23. These sorts of things may be intentional results of GOP policy. Bc research shows that when ppl are frightened, they then give more conservative answers on surveys. Increased crime frightens ppl. So does brutal and violent kidnapping by masked legal authorities.

    0
  24. That's why they're NOT going after real gang members, and instead targeting law abiding Hispanics. They never want to risk confronting someone dangerous who might hurt them.

  25. So completely predictable! (Right up there with cis women being challenged and/or fully transitioned trans men forced into restrooms based on mean trans bans.) Anyone could see this coming a mile away!

  26. Lol. Cops are claiming you can tell who the real cops are by the types of masks they wear.

"Stringer noted that real officers do not wear ski masks"

  28. How disappointing to think that you finally get to use your 2nd Amendment rights to fight tyranny, only to find out that all you did was prevent a robbery.

    0
  29. I am surprised it took so long for this to happen. Any criminal worth anything can see the opportunity here. Buy a vest off eBay and claim you're some kind of cop. No badges or warrant needed to invade homes, hijack cars, or kidnap.

    0
  30. If their faces are covered and they won't identify themselves, folks need to protect themselves from a perceived threat. Homes, businesses, car, wherever. If that's a problem for law enforcement, uncover your faces and produce some damn ID.

  31. We will never know how many people have been kidnapped by masked men pretending to be government gestapo agents. Part of the reason why we shouldn’t allow secret police is because no one knows what to make of a masked man taking a brown person off the street.

  32. Colorado has a law that if someone is trying to break in, you can shoot them. Guess everyone in Colorado should get a gun.

  33. Love the last line: "Real officers do not wear ski masks." We need that on some merch.

    2
  34. Open season on unidentified men in mask, whether their vests say police, homeland security, or whatever who refuse to present warrants, ids, etc.

  35. almost like republicians want high crime so they can lock down cities with federal control.

planned ? remember all the chaos caused for deflection by republicians

    0
  36. Ironic, but the real shit will happen if a citizen shoots an actual ICE agent. Then every arrest becomes a SWAT raid for officer safety.

    0
  37. Is ICE is next ?? They’re not “real officers” either. They are degenerate, loser, glorified mall cops who have no respect for their fellow man. I hope I live to see the US equivalent of the Nuremberg trials and watch them all go away to rot in prison.

  38. FTA: "Stringer noted that real officers do not wear ski masks" and there were no flashing police lights.

Note to would-be cop impersonators, wear NECK GAITERS, sunglasses, and baseball caps. More comfy than ski masks anyway. Oh, and slap a $15 set of red/blue flashing LED lights on the dashboard.

  39. Obviously, a police car with some sort of lights and sirens and a bullhorn where we'll be announcing ourselves," HPD Detective Kyle Stringer told Choi. Stringer noted that real officers do not wear ski masks.

    0
  40. THIS is a likely forerunner of things to come … when unknown, masked people show up at someone’s home, claiming to be police with an arrest warrant.

Two individuals had NO ID, NO police car, NO bullhorn, NO backup … and shot through the front door. The homeowner shot back and killed them both.

  41. It's only a matter of time. And you have to think Miller and Trump are trying to make it happen as a pretext to even worse abuses.

  42. People are defending against these people w/masks for their families- doing Trump's dirty work not the good work MLK often talked about.

Good work helping people lead good lives safe lives and happy lives, that they wouldn't know about , because the dark path leads 2 Trump & his dark heart.

I’ve been puzzled that this isn’t happening all over the place as well- both the impersonation as well as actual masked unidentified ICE personnel getting shot bc people think they are fake.

  44. I don't blame the homeowner at all; they very well could have been violent, lawless maniacs. And it would have been scary if they weren't ICE agents, too.

  45. I will not be grabbed off the street by masked unidentified men and put in a vehicle. Not alive, anyway. Survived it barely at age 14 and will fight for my very life if ever in that situation again. No joke

  46. I am a sane, sober, moral, prudent individual. I don't instigate and will always look to de-escalate. If I'm attacked by someone threatening with a weapon or wearing a mask escape will always be my first choice. However, if that is not an option starting a dialog would not be my second choice.

  47. This is why everyone needs to learn state/local laws and arm themselves. We should be seeing more of this if it’s really ‘merica!

    0
  48. And if you live in MN, looking out and seeing a "police car and lights" is not reassuring. We've been told to call our local police to see if they've sent officers. Even if you look out and see a "cop" all decked out in vest, camera and taser/gun, call for confirmation. #PSA #MelissaHortman💔

  49. I have seen several reports of the former; this is the first I have seen of the latter.

  50. I think part of the reason the Trump Regime is sending these masked, unidentifiable people as police is to also enable armed vigilanties to do the same thing. But as you say, it is backfiring and posing a severe risk to actual police officers because nobody knows who is genuine. Trump doesn’t care.

    0
  51. Same. Also surprised we have not seen more violence erupt at ICE agents as they are ripping loved ones from their families.

    0
  52. and when a homeowner / car driver / pedestrian goes "Stand your Ground" against actual ICEis / FBI / DEA / etc agents -- MAGA-land will tear their hair, gnash their teeth, etc .. and Stephen Miller will demand martial law. It's what they want.

    6
  53. Spreading violence is the point, how else will you set up a curfew to disturb November elections?

We’re looking at this wrong, don’t look at American history for precedents look at modern Africa for antecedents.

    1
  54. I called this weeks ago. People are scared and will protect their homes and children. The fact that ICE wears mask n show no ID and ride in unmarked cars will only bring more news like this. I’m glad the family was not hurt.

    0
  55. Given Americans love of guns, even over their own kids, I’d have thought they’d have jumped on that idea like the Hunger Games and there would be a awards every week for the most ICE (umm impersonator) ☠️’s. Of course any ICE who show ID wouldn’t be part of the competition. We’re not savages 🤪

    0
  56. It’s definitely going to keep happening. Isn’t it a law that police have to identify themselves with badges and names?

    0
  57. Wow. this is a conundrum for Texas MAGA people. Which of these folks do they approve of and love the most?

    0
  58. I believe it is happening, however with corporate media beholden to the Trump administration they are not reporting on it. Additionally I suspect the algorithms controlling many social media sites are intentionally manipulating the feeds to limit the spread of this information.
