The most switches were bought in 2020 by a pretty big margin, and while covid helped a lot I'm willing to bet Animal Crossing lifted just as much
it's not like the eternal nintendo century is caused by their steady release window of good enough exclusives that keeps their base energized

I bought the PS4 to play bloodborne, the switch to play FE 3 houses and zelda, the idea of exclusives not mattering always sounds crazy to me
