1)Everything Kennedy said about Bork was true and the bipartisan majority was right to reject him. 2)Bork being confirmed would have done absolutely nothing to forestall the rise of Trump. The two most hackish pro-Trump justices on the Supreme Court were nominated by the "normal" Republicans!

if democrats just would have let republicans put one criminal hatchet man on the court, republicans nearly 40 years later would not have put this criminal hatchet man on a court

  1. The problem is we have no remedy for the current situation, where two judges on the Court (and their wives) are in a lunatic treason cult

A good rule of thumb would have been to NOT nominate or confirm sex criminals, but here we are

  3. The fact that Reagan couldn't find someone who wanted to overrule Roe AND hadn't written an op-ed asserting that the Civil Rights Act was unconstitutional, a law review article asserting that the First Amendment doesn't protect literature, etc. is not in fact the fault of the Democratic Party

  4. Borking Bork was the right call, and if we are lucky enough to take the Senate next year, any GOP nominee is a nonstarter. They can cry about it for another generation.
