  1. London felt like the economic and cultural capital of the EU. It's a tribute to its resilience that it's still a vibrant world city despite brexit.

Spot on. In so many ways London is better than it ever has been. You only need to see the state of our parks, the new green spaces and trees, the quality of the Thames, the change to areas like Kings Cross.

  3. As an immigrant who came to the UK 30 years ago on a skills visa, I started working around the UK but fell in love with London, for many of the reasons you write about. And football. Thanks for stating the facts.

  4. London has always been a world city, that is part of what it makes it so special and great. Seeing the way some people from the right slag the city off is really frustrating and not my experience as someone who has lived most of my life here.

  5. You’re in a party led by a man who said immigration did “incalculable damage”.

I’ll believe you’re tackling racism when you demand Starmer is removed as Labour leader.

  7. Well said Sir. I'm a proud Londoner and always have been. You have done a great job advancing the causes of Londoners, but there is a long way to go until we have true equality in the city.
