He should sue for very cruel and unusual punishment!
And then apply for asylum in Canada or frankly anywhere far removed from the US.

He does still have a wife and kids in the US. All of whom are legal US citizens.
Frankly, I think just leaving the US now would also defeat the whole purpose of his fight.
The government just trampled all over his rights for a photo op and a few cheers from the MAGA base.
