If this had been Jon Sumrall or Jeff Monken or anyone else, it would be written off as transition pains. But none of them would have promised what Bill Belichick promised, or demanded what he demanded.

UNC paid millions for this, and got sold a bill of goods.

It’s hard to imagine Bill Belichick’s college debut going any worse than a 48-14 loss to TCU that saw the students fleeing before the third quarter was even halfway over.

  2. Another completely expected outcome. He was terrible in his last couple of seasons in the NFL. What made anyone think that he would excel at a league he's completely unfamiliar with? But executives go after the hype and the attention every time.

  3. Instead they hire a coach who clearly is over the hill and completely out of touch with today’s college football. I think he took the job so he could use it as a stepping stone to get back into the NFL.

  4. UNC got fleeced, and they never should have hired him in the first place. They should have went for a good young coach who could attract the top prospects, and could galvanize the program.

  5. Post-game presser. "What are your thoughts on the game, coach?" Belichick's girlfriend, "We're not talking about that."
