It couldn't possibly be that women volunteer more, it must be because they are just loud and boastful about it.

According to him if you ASK then it would be men in higher numbers.

It is similar in America, But there is a difference in approaches.

Women when they do voluntary work, they post, they scream, they shout, they talk, they take pictures. it is easy to see.

Men just do voluntary work, the actual work in silence and without any real proof or visibility besides the lives changed.

Thanks to that many women erroneously assume it means women are more likely to do voluntary work, when it is men do it slightly more than women in hours done. But if you go by social media or just people following/talking about voluntary work? you would assume it was 90% women. And to be fair, 90% of them are in the social media depts, or in the supervisory roles, but the ones actually doing the voluntary work? a good mix, but slightly more men.

My father does voluntary work in a charity that cleans rivers and parks, but if you do not ask, you would never even know.

And the greater percentage of men in the 35-44 age group wouldn't have anything to do with women in that range being too busy raising kids, right? (Bet a large percentage of volunteer work by men in that age range is also sportsball coaching.)
