I am available for the Supreme Court.

If we survive this, there is going to be a real push from liberals for the next Democrat in the Oval to go scorched earth and simply nominate the most ardently ideological, brazenly partisan judges.

Not even offer up a fig leaf of bipartisanship. Just ram through whoever you want, at any cost.

  1. And just expand court without congressional approval. Appoint 9 additional judges. Who cares anymore. There are no rules. New Dem President can do whatever.

  2. Impeach the 6 in there remove them and replace, Obama would be good for chief justice...

  3. Bingo things can’t stay the same Dems have to start playing the same game! Get rid of the corrupt maga Supreme Court judges to start!!

  4. We have no confidence in any DEM following through with an actual viable winning plan....it's like they want to lose so they can complain. We need a 3rd party option or this cycle will never end.

  5. If we don’t do this, then we are the architects of our own destruction.

If we don’t do this, and we are the architects of our own destruction

  6. If we pack the court with 12 more justices I bet there’s room for you too!

  7. I, too am available for SCOTUS. I will settle for a federal circuit tho. I'll even move to a different city if I must.

  8. I still think that every presidential term should include a supreme court appointment (with confirmation of course). Let the court grow and shrink.

  9. I don’t think the US will have a Democrat as president in the near or mid future, it will be 20 to 30 years, I do hope I’m wrong.

  10. Electing a Democrat will allow us to clean up the mess that has been created……first on the table is to get rid of loopholes….get rid of incompetence

  11. I would hope and pray that the democrats will get their acts together and circle the wagon and get democrats all branches of gov't and the courts.

  12. If by some miracle that Democrats take back control over congres what they need to do is forgot about playing by the laws and rules and remove EVERY traitor from our government from top to bottom. The 6 supreme corrupt traitors betrayed their oath to the constitution and needs to be removed for it.

  13. What a wonderful thought.

In the meantime, thanks for working to save the rule of law, the sanctity of the Constitution, and the ideal of Democracy.

    Yeah, thanks again for that.

  14. No democratic hopeful should run without supporting court expansion. Only one did in 2020 and he had a very detailed plan that was both innovative and fair. But a gay man could never be president of the US because our country is too full of hate, right? When will it ever end?

  15. And enlarge the court, build more courthouses, hire more district and appellate judges.

Give the immigration courts judicial status like the tax court, the trade court, and the patent court and get it out of the executive branch.

  16. Marc, I don't think it's ideological to fight for the right to vote. Everyone across the spectrum should.

  17. I think this is not sufficient. The current court is engaged in imposing right wing policies with performative mutilation of stare decisis. The justices need to be investigated for corruption, and an executive with newly found powers (thanks to this court) should prosecute and remove them.

  18. Now the Democrats have learned a valuable lesson when you pick up a snake (the GOP Congress) and feed it and bring it back to health and now it turns and bites you. The End

  19. Sadly what I think will actually happen is that Dems will get the house, senate, white house and be like 'ok we are in charge now! we have to be friendly to the republicans and pretend the last 4 years weren't crazy destructive and just act like everything is normal. It won't be good.

  20. Marc, suspect you're far too fair minded, what you now all face is are the Dems effectively the pre-bellum Whigs (doomed to fail) or can they actually re-invent themselves, in the Words of Sean Connery in 'The Untouchables' time for a political 'Chicago way'...?

  21. I'll take that job, my 2nd choice if I'm not on the jury during the Nuremberg II trials. My first choice.

  22. I am impressed with KBJ and how she stands as a bright light on SCOTUS. Would you really want to be a judge? As a former litigator (I did an externship on the GA S Ct. as a law student too), my brief exposure to appellate work makes me sure that is not something I would like to do. Thanks to you,

  23. We are in this situation in part due to your ignoring the FACT Trump stole my classified files. I have known this FACT since October 15th 2021. Months before the discovery at Mar-A-Lago and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. 👇🏼starting in 1989. Know your history Marc?

  24. The top of my wish list is impeaching every single one of the conservatives on the court, then figuring out how undo the terrible decisions they have made over the last 50 years. Starting with Citizens United.

  25. And if they don’t there will be hell to pay. Can’t trust the dems to actually do anything but wring their hands.

  26. It has to be that way! Bi partisanship has to be over until we level the field!! And to bring the criminals in the house/senate/SCROTUS to justice for what they did on 1/6/21. Trump should spend the rest of his life behind bars as a start

    0
  27. Marc, you’re too nice and decent and ethical. Will you vote to approve the executions of Trump and members of the GOP that were behind the 2020 coup? If you can’t say yes, you’re not extreme enough for the job of cleaning up the mess. You can certainly after when we need normalcy again!

  28. If we survive this, there is a helluva lot more that needs to be done, things no one has even thought of. Eg, major changes to qualifications to hold any public office. Passing the citizenship exam annually. No history of ever having taken the 5th Let’s get there first!

  29. If the Dems had some balls in 2009 we wouldn't ever have had Rump! They had the House, Prez and 60 Senate seats. If PR & DC had joined the Union = none of this would be happening. When you have power stop being weak, Dems! Redraw the House lines in CA, NY, etc NOW.

  30. Nevermind. Simply assert that advice and consent doesn’t require an appearance before a committee or response to any inquiry. Or a vote. We heard their advice. We got consent where we asked for it. Problem solved. Then expand the court to 100. Take away their individual power by spreading it out.

  31. I long for the days of Harry Blackmun and Potter Stewart, but those days are long gone. We have no friends on the high court. Reforming the court should be the first thing we do if we get back in office

    0
  32. The Democratic party must add Supreme court reform to their platform: 1) term limits 2) seat 4 new judges after eliminating the filibuster, no milketoast wimps like Merrick Garland allowed. Otherwise, they might as well stay home and not run at all.

    0
  33. And expand the Supreme Court to 13 seats quickly to undo the two GOP stolen seats & then install term limits so lifetime appts are not available to rogue partisan judges.

    This has to be done!!

    0
  34. Damn shame Biden didn’t up the number to 13, one for every circuit, and put the term limit to 26 years.

  35. Are we putting this in writing? The internet 🌐 is forever. ♾

If past is prologue, I don't trust this ☝️🏾 not to turn up in someone's SCOTUS nomination hearing, and for ole Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee sound to tank it, sounding like a chorus of Elmer Fudd’s muttering “decorum.” 🙄
