  1. There's nothing f****** legal about it and it's the same insurrection by the Republican party

  2. This is like a redux of all the Federal judges who threatened to hold the Trump regime in contempt for repeatedly ignoring their orders. Orders are still being ignored, and nobody is being held in contempt. These are idle threats by Democrats, and Republicans know it.

  3. The key is "not sit quietly." Never be a doormat & always go down swinging. They may lose, but they're guaranteed to lose if they do nothing. But I don't think they'll lose. Even if the Repugs pick up seats here & there, they're hated even in red states now & some will become purple in the midterms.

  6. For all our faults, and unfortunately in this case, we are not a fascist shithole and our constitution only allows redistricting after the census. We'd have to amend the state constitution.

  7. DER SPIEGEL about the current situation in Texas and the democrats leaving the country. Pritzker and Hochul are considering responding with a counteroffensive in their states and redrawing their constituencies in favor of their own party. Hochul : You have to fight fire with fire

  8. I love that a few Democratic leaders are finally taking the gloves off. I hope the rest follow suit before it’s too late.

  9. I (and my community) have room in Colorado -- they're welcome to come visit us as long as they help with the dishes.

  10. @colorado.gov if now is not the time you add your name to this list then when? What are you going to tell your kids when they asked “WHAT YOU DID TO SAVE DEMOCRACY?”

Show the world you haven’t forgotten your roots, and Coloradans we did the right thing by electing you’d fight for us no matter what.

  11. The Midterm elections were the only bloodless pathway out of Fascism. Trump found a way to block the path. It is now a war between the states. Americans in 31 Red States did this when they elected Trump. It's a legislative, bloodless civil war.

  12. Abbott and his gang of Texas GOP felons have just publicly conspired to commit kidnapping of elected officials. I don't know what the penalty for such a crime is, but it should be at least a decade in prison for each offense.

  13. Glad that Hochul is standing alongside Texas House Democrats. Now, Gov Hochul, how about standing alongside Democrats at home and endorsing Zohran Mamdani, who handily won the Dem primary for mayor over a month ago?

  14. I’ve like Hochul since she’s become governor and I know as a Dem this has been a minority view. But she’s coming into her own.
