It’s the first week of school for many—a time that should be filled with joy, not grief.
Those children in Minnesota were at Mass when their lives were stolen.
My heart goes out to all impacted by this act of violence. Gun violence has no place in our schools, our churches, or our communities.
This is yet another completely preventable crime, if we had and/or enforced gun laws with waiting periods and limits on sales to those with mental health issues. Logically, privacy concerns exist, but our children’s physical safety should be paramount in our society. Fuck the NRA and their lackies.
