The Bleding Tree
We see two shadow elves, a male and a female, they are looking up at us, as though we are seeing them from a giant's point of view, looking down.
"They're struggling. They shouldn't be struggling. The caterpillar does not struggle, it simply becomes. Mistress what is happening?"
The regal seeming female, shakes her head. "We were so close. Ah well, still much to learn it seems. I will speak to my sisters, perhaps they are..." She seems distracted.
Cut to a similar view of the heroes. Almost from the tree's point of view. We see the heroes looking at the Bleeding Tree
"A wode-warden. This explains much. The ritual takes too long, we gave the sunlanders too much time. This is vital knowledge. Come. You and I will return to the citadel."
"What of the sunworlders? Should we not...?"
"No, what we have learned is too important. Besides, the bleeding trees can defend themselves."
