Great, acting, great characters, the most nimble and imaginative direction of Robert Redford's career, some of the best dialogue possibly ever written, and a career best performance by Martin Scorsese under Redford's guidance.
Even Rob Morrow's unfortunate eyebrows and accent can't damage it
Very excited to see Quiz Show on the big screen for the first time since 1994.
So good! And such a great script by Paul Attanasio.
The dialogue is so sharp and witty. And just one banger scene after another.
Not to mention that Ralph Fiennes, John Turturro and Paul Scofield are superb in it.
Hey Matt, you know the story that this was supposed to be Soderbergh’s film? Redford was only supposed to produce, not direct.
Honestly, has always been my choice for Best Picture of 1994, then and now.
I was at Fordham when they did some location filming there (but sorry, no interesting stories to tell).
My dad played the security guard that opens the vault during the opening credits. He had a picture of him in costume with Redford that he treasures more than pictures of his kids and grandkids.

Did a double feature the other week with this and Paul Walter Hauser's Luckiest Man in America. Was very satisfying.

All time Top 10 for me. Redford and Attanasio’s deft portrayal of “ethnic” tension is a wonder.
