Sure, sure. Grew up in Charleston (haven't moved back and won't) and remember hearing the same mindless b.s. from elderly relatives who heard it from theirs, etc., etc. WV doesn't want progress, never has, which is why they keep voting in incompetent office holders. Prove me wrong!
I’m sure the ReThug Governor will be offering an array of Tax Cuts next week. That’s always the RePug solution for economic woes. You’d never want to invest in your state. Heaven forbid.

Nothing changes. My relatives who still live there will always vote R if they vote at all, yet they complain constantly about how the government isn't helping them. Willful ignorance is their comfort zone.
