2003, my Dad said that the cable news shows he liked on Comcast were moved to very high channel numbers & they charged for a package to include CNN & MSNBC versus the standard cable that included FOX for free. He was onto FOX as they paid Comcast for decades of basic packages chosen by poor retirees

I agree. A bug for me the average household is spending about 300 a month for media. Paying for advertisement on cable and streaming! On local tv, you watch a program like a commercial. 30 to 40 commercials on a 30 minute program.

I've tried to get. a cable package without F. I've offered to pay more. The only option is to get a package with NO news--none of the other news stations, either. Except a couple of very local sources. Verizon on Long Island.
Sadly, they'll work out the contract dispute. This happens all the time with DIRECTV too. If they (all collectively) cared about truth, they'd all remove them.

I dropped YoutubeTV earlier this year (as part of a larger spending boycott) because I didn’t want to pay for fascist propaganda. I would certainly consider coming back for a package that doesn’t include Fox.
I also got my hopes up. It’s over fees. They will figure it out.
