Well, in Texas, it could be a church raffle. $1 from police auction. Given by a relative. Bought on the street (gun fair with no regulations in a strip mall), and many more ways. Texico is a gun violence sanctuary state.

Idaho. Texas. Wyoming. Etc. Plenty of states allow those with mental health histories little or no restrictions.

Oh. Because the first thing donnie dotard did in 2017 was removed the laws prohibiting the, shall we say, "overly mentally challenged" from buying guns. Not the ADHD types, but the seriously "danger to themselves and others folks".
