Curious to know their reason for not wanting you to watch SpongeBob.

One co-worker at my last job said she wasn’t allowed to watch because “SpongeBob was mean to his friends” and another said he wasn’t allowed because “SpongeBob was too political”. The latter I’m now realizing was probably a joke.

Focus on the Family's reasons are probably as simple as "it doesn't glorify God." Same reason there's so much fan art of Sonic praying, because the kids feel guilty enjoying something secular.
