  1. Just read this article in one sitting, unable to even take the time to pick up my coffee because it was so riveting. Had to search you out on here to find you and tell you how amazing it was and how I have my fingers crossed that this may be a book someday! Thank you for sharing these stories. ❤️

  2. Nancy Kathryn, you’re a great writer. I haven’t read a piece this good in a very long time. I’m sharing it with family and friends. You made your dad come alive in this! I laughed at so many of the stories—the “one-hit dope” made my husband laugh out loud when I read it to him. San Diego! 😂😂😂

  3. This is such a beautiful article. There, I was listening to so many of the artists highlighted and little did I know all of this was going on in the background. Thank you so much for taking me back there.

  6. I just read your wonderful article in The Atlantic and thought I'd might find you here. Glad to find you here. Being an old hippie musician myself, I love reading about you and your dad's life. I can identify with so much of it. Thanks for writing such a beautiful story.

  7. What a great story!! Loved it. When your father brought the B-bender to Keith Richards and went to a club it made me think about Stanley Booth’s great book The True Adventures of the Rolling Stones.

There is a part when they were in LA and went to hear some music. A station wagon was mentioned.
