Even if one accepted your characterization of a "national liberation" movement in this context, why would that be incompatible with the state of Israel being of a settler-colonial origin and character? It's not?

  1. In the 19th century the Jewish population of the land of Palestine was small. Over the years leading to 48 people moved there from various places and established a parallel political order that reified into a state by fighting a war. It's difficult to get more textbook than that
