Itโs weird how many media leaders see the president deploy or threaten military force in lower crime areas that didnโt vote for him, while not deploying in or threatening areas with higher crime that did vote for him, and go โthis story is about crime, we should frame it as a debate over crime.โ

Are they even really in the parts of DC that do typically have higher crime rates, or are they all just around the visible areas?

But itโs also a narrative. Itโs a narrative that democratic run places are in disorder and full of crime. Heโs pushing a narrative. And I think it will be overreach. But we canโt overlook how much heโs a media-focused president.

Logistically, it makes sense. Using National Guard to police lower crime areas frees resources with more experience to be used in areas where crime is higher.
