It’s kind of why this GenAI stealing wholesale from artists bothers me so much. People SLOGGED over their art, they skilled up through consistency and showing up every day. It’s like people don’t think art is work. Of course it is work.
I am depressed and demotivated af today. But I have spent hours at my desk writing, drawing, rehearsing, brainstorming new outlines anyway. It’s about showing up and doing it even if you don’t want to.

Also, the implication that 'instant success' being the only measure worth considering irks me constantly - process of creation is an ESSENTIAL part of art of any kind, process has to involve evolution of ideas, techniques, influence and skills, often over a long time span. Instant AI 'art' is theft.
