The provincial government had argued that road space dedicated to cyclists was adding to congestion. A Superior Court judge said the government’s decision would risk the lives of cyclsits.
All hail the "activist judges" era of Canadian politics though. Reactionaries aren't going to take this kind of thing lying down.

And we had better be ready to take to the streets when Ford inevitably invokes the notwithstanding clause. He thinks we'll all shrug when he wipes his feet on the Charter again.
