I am DYING to get my hands on this collection now. I was already gonna pre-order BUT. Inclusion of WaveNet UMK3 alone is worth the $50 price tag. UMK3 is my favorite fighting game of all time and to get a new official version/revision of it in 2025!? Wild! Plus the general mystique of its history.

In 1996/97 Midway experimented with online enabled arcade machines. There were prototypes for MK3 and San Francisco Rush. The idea was using T1 lines you could play in your local arcade and connect against another player in a different location or city. An amazing, forward thinking concept in 97.
