A pair of osprey have been nesting atop the Rehoboth Beach Fire Department siren for several years. The Fire Department placed an orange cone on the siren to deter them, but the osprey just built the nest around it. Here is one of the adults bringing food to the almost-grown chicks.

I emailed them... told them what to do.
Build a platform on a pole nearby and move the nest over the winter and they will love it. Worthless POS fire department.

We've got an osprey nest across the Russian River from the groove pit (our eventual retirement cabin near Guerneville)...so much fun to watch them bringing fish back to their hatchlings.
The cat is the traffic cone in this scenario.

I noticed an osprey nest in the middle of Seattle. On top of a cell phone tower in Northgate.
Feature. The only Ospreys with one of their own.

I know this nest and before this article? They were doing everything they could to kill the nest. Because it was inconvenient.

Oh cool, well, I followed this pair of osprey for a couple of years on the Osprey cam and all of their babies died each year, so Iβm really happy to see this yearβs survivors!!

There's certain areas up here in Lake county we have these perchs every 5 miles. It's a big lake
