I get told ‘don’t undermine Labour or Reform will win’, but the people most undermining Labour are the leadership. Each new bit of pandering to the bigots undermines Labour and boosts Farage.

  1. The only thing that could save Labour now is to remove Starmer asap and elect a principled, honest, truthful, competent, collegiate, genuinely caring, determinedly on the side of working people, Labour MP to be a leader the voters can trust! Oh dear! There is nothing that can save the Labour Party

  2. They have their excuses ready so they learn nothing.

The thing is, Reform win would be dire obviously. But another Labour win will see them drift even further right and just pave the way for Reform to win later anyway. Whenever the Tories or Reform do win, we might actually get proper opposition.

  3. I can see what will happen. Four years of repeatedly telling us to F-off & then ‘you’ll have to vote for us or it will be your fault’. Well, this time, it isn’t going to work & they are entirely to blame. You can have bigots or me, not both.

  4. And that is exactly what democracy is supposed to be: to punish parties and politicians when they misbehave...

It seems labour isn't much of a fan of democracy lately...

  5. Chasing votes of people who are fully a year into sharing Two-Tier Kier memes is just moronic. Whatever they throw to them will never be enough. Murdoch will not get behind them when Farage is box-office and Fox’s support for Trump is an indicator of his leanings. Any sane adult must know this.

  6. I don’t see how anyone on the left can defend Labour. And by ‘left’ I am including drippy melts. The whole cabinet are a pig sty full of swine. What is Cooper doing? It’s sick, grandmothers bundled off into meat wagons for protesting genocide. Militant racists pandered to.

  7. Yup. The leadership and their "advisers" (did Milne stay on?) are undermining some excellent constituency MPs to the extent that their Facebook feeds are full of constituents ignoring the evidence right in front of them to trot out all Reform's talking points in a flurry of non-sequiturs.

  8. It's not that simplistic. Two different things are possible. Limit immigration, encourage integration & demand good English skills & avoid closed off areas as the Social Democratic Danes have done. But oppose the racism, demonisation by the Far Right.Brits have more or less joined Danes on such views

  9. The Labour Movement are in power with 400 MPs. Sir Keir is answerable to his party. If he's seen as a weak coward remove him. Don't bleat around for 4 yrs. Your party, your choice. I did think he would be OK but no he's too humble, too weak, can't sell Social Democracy & lacks guts, power & advisers.

  10. Pointing out they're doing a terrible job when they're doing a terrible job is not undermining them it's stating the bleeding obvious

  11. Oh my god! 100% this! I’m sick and tired of trying to tell people Starmer is the worst Tory PM ever, and then the echo chamber wakes up to attack me. Don’t you Brits get CNN there? Can’t you see where this is going?

  13. Unless something happens to change it then we will either be polishing our jackboots or fighting the police to stop racists burning down our communities in a few years. Isn't that wonderful?🤦🤬

  14. What they have a hard time admitting to is that they simply don't care. They don't care what the government does as long as their team is in power. They're willing to throw anyone under the bus for it

  15. Was it Lee Harpin or Wes Streeting who told the world Labour was shaking of the fleas as people quit. Well Quelle Surprise...

  16. Personally I would still absolutely vote Labour if I thought they were the only realistic option to beat Reform in my constituency, but it ought to be recognised that in an increasing number of constituencies this isn't so.

Local elections over the next couple of years will clarify that further.
