  1. Hmmmmm… They are the ones who waged the strongest fight against universal healthcare in this country in the ‘40s and against Medicare for all.

  2. How sad that Americans cannot trust the information supplied by their government from departments, that are suppose to reflect helping, empowering, and informing, the public trusted information. How wonderful, someone stepped outside that box, to do something right!

  3. The only way I know there are measles cases in Los Angeles and to get a vaccine is because I went to an imaging website to make an appointment for an ultrasound and it was in a banner at the top of their page.

  4. On the other hand they are NOT independent and are very heavily pushing AI for handling medical records and summaries, something already proved to be unreliable and dangerous. It IS better than then the CDC though right nowl

  5. Wouldn't it make sense if a list of nominees for HHS secretary is assembled through votes by members of these types of professional groups and the Prez chooses from the list? Same for AG.

Humpty is exposing so many deficiencies and loopholes. I hope we are taking notes.

  7. We need an informed citizenry. I appreciate the AMA and other organizations filling in where this dysfunctional administration has decided to sequester information and guidance.

  8. Thank God. Now we need economists to create one to give correct numbers about the economy, i.e. labor, inflation, etc.

  9. The AMA funded Republicans voting for whatever Trump wants though. The AMA is involved in this dismantling of healthcare, it is as if their sacred oath means nothing

  11. Do you have any links for this? Their YouTube page doesn’t have any new videos in the past 11 days.

How are you verifying the info you post before actually posting?

  12. We need to really focus on making sure people understand these agencies are no longer to be trusted - they aren’t the people’s agencies, they are Trump/MAGA CDC, Trump/ MAG FBI, Trump/MAGA DOJ, Trump/MAGA DOD and are not to be trusted.

  13. This is a GREAT idea and support this. If independent groups are able to gather data, verify it and present it in a clear way to the public then this would be a great counterpoint to the disinformation being promulgated by this administration. Even the jobs data would also be a good candidate too!

  15. AMA can be believed … CDC cannot. AMA has nothing to gain or lose by telling the truth. Everyone in Trump’s regime has something(s) to lose.

  17. I think they are dependent on CDC for information and were good for disseminating it for a bit, but it's run dry.

  18. The AMA was utterly silent about COVID for 5 years. No guidance was offered to medical providers or the general public beyond a bland referral to the CDC website.

If the AMA is stepping up now, great, but their track record is disgraceful.

  19. Come on, now. It's called a "channel" and you "subscribe" to it, if you want it to survive.
