I think you’ve got it framed correctly. To me, I understand how serious militarizing American cities is, and in no way am I downplaying it, but I think the balance in this case comes in understanding what the occupant in the White House and his handlers want. They want violence to crack down on.

Without that it becomes harder to make their move. I think evidence from this can be seen in LA. If protests proceed peacefully and with huge numbers it keeps them on their heels. At the same time, I’d like to see more momentum for a general strike. I’d like to see more frequent rallies too.
