...and? Would you call a painter lacking because they were inspired by the IP of Van Gogh or Degas? More so, do you think the only experiences one has are the media they consume? Is work inspired by other works any less valid as an expression? Nothing exists in a void.
No, I'm with Mark Twain who in a famous 1903 letter to Helen Keller wrote "whereas there is not a rag of originality about them anywhere except the little discoloration they get from his mental and moral caliber and his temperament" we live is a world where any recognizable similarity is plagiarism

I am not sure originality is a requirement for something to be artistic. I was simply stating that everyone has the capacity to be an artist as their internal existence is unique in some way, and art is a universal language to communicate that, in whatever form that may be. Original != Unique.
