Look for Bundesliga games to have more added time this season. So far in the lower divisions, stoppage time is up on average by 1 minute, 43 secs. The DFB see it as a matter of transparency & consistency to make up for lost time in matches.

Had a conversation with a fellow Fรผrth fan the other day and were talking about adopting the US model of stopping the clock when the whistle blows. Consensus was that games would take way too long and people prefer the current under-two hours from kickoff to final whistle.

The biggest time waster is every person diving like they've been shot by a sniper for the slightest jersey tug. Referees should call simulation more often than they do.
